CBD test fluid - Check to see if your oil really contains CBD

CBD Test Purple Kit enables you to easily analyse oil products for the presence of cannabidiol (CBD). The pipette with test fluid is simple to use and the test can be done at home without the need for any special equipment (just a sheet of A4 paper and a test sample).

If you’ve ever bought CBD oil and doubted that it actually contains CBD — either because the effects were not what you thought they’d be, or the taste or smell was not what you expected — you can know for sure, with our handy, fast, and accurate CBD test kit.

Test your CBD oil at home

  1. Put your oil sample on a white background (sheet of A4 paper) and spread it out on the paper
  2. Carefully cut the end of the ‘CBD Test Purple’ pipette
  3. Squeeze the pipette and empty out the test fluid over the sample
  4. Wait 20-30 seconds for the results

The detection fluid will start to change colour after approximately 20-30 seconds if there is CBD in the sample, but give it around a minute and a half to ensure the reaction is complete. The process can be speeded up by agitating the test reagent and the sample with the back of a spoon, for example.

CBD test results indication

The test fluid’s final colour (see chart below) gives a good indication of the amount of CBD present in the sample, but it does not provide an absolutely exact measurement of the CBD content of an oil.

“CBD oil”, but no CBD?

As researchers have discovered, not all “CBD oil” contains cannabidiol, even if it’s advertised as such, so use our test kit to find out for yourself.

It’s a jungle out there, but rest assured, a CBD Test Purple detection fluid will always change colour when used to test one of Dutch Natural Healing’s CBD oil products — so you can be sure you’re getting what you’ve paid for.

What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a plant-based cannabinoid naturally derived from the hemp plant. CBD is extracted from the harvested plant and is therefore 100% natural, though the quality and potency of the product may depend on which part of the plant the CBD was extracted from.

Because fresh CBD is naturally paste-like, the raw CBD paste is mixed with a carrier oil, such as hemp-seed oil, for easier dosing. This creates what is termed CBD oil.
