Sustainability starts with every choice we make

Hemp gives us a versatile plant that grows quickly, uses water efficiently and can provide ingredients for nutrition and personal care.

That potential is why we choose hemp. At the same time, we look beyond the crop itself: cultivation, processing, packaging and transport all count. We want every step to be considered, transparent and continuously improved.

Sustainability

A naturally sustainable crop with a positive impact on the environment.

For us, sustainability is not a slogan. It is a principle in how we develop and make our products.

Somehow it feels strange to only look at what nature can give us. We can, and want to, give something back as well. That is why we try to look ever more consciously at the choices we make. At our packaging. At production. At transport. At materials. At waste. And above all at the question: can it be done smarter, cleaner, or with less impact?

It does not have to be perfect straight away, but it can be a little better every day. We can take responsibility for the things we do have influence over. We have to keep looking critically at our own choices, and we can invest in solutions that may not always be the easiest, but that are ultimately the better ones.

What hemp does while it grows

Hemp is a fast-growing crop that absorbs large amounts of CO₂ from the atmosphere as it grows. In fact, the hemp behind our products absorbs more CO₂ while growing than is released in producing our finished CBD products. Hemp is also incredibly versatile. From wellness and nutrition to textiles, building materials and other applications. A plant people have used for thousands of years, and one whose possibilities I believe we are still far from having discovered.

High CO₂ absorption: up to 15 tonnes per hectare per year.

Regenerates the soil

Deep roots improve soil structure, prevent erosion and promote biodiversity.

Sustainability is not a finish line you reach one day and can then tick off. It is a process. Sometimes it means big steps, but more often it is small choices behind the scenes that almost nobody sees. Yet all those choices together are what make the difference in the end. We are incredibly proud of what we have built so far, and we would like to hold on to that pride. Not only because of the products we make or the people we get to help with them, but also because of the way we do it. We only have one world, and if nature gives us this much, we can certainly make a bit of an effort to give something back.

Hemp can save the world

Did you know that in our best growing season our farm stored the equivalent of more than 36 tonnes of CO₂? That hemp can be a solution to the great problems on earth that threaten humanity? Think of food, medicine, fuel, CO₂.
